This culmination of six years' work is a rare foray into the gallery. The current project has involved collaborating with communities to fashion an expansive collection of intricately and elaborately marked stones. Using a process, which is intriguingly similar to 'cult' children's plaything Fuzzy Felt, roughly 1000 people had an opportunity to be completely involved in the making process. Dense networks of symbols and letters have been inscribed onto discarded pieces of stone, bringing new meaning to otherwise throw-away elements. |
